Boxycharm July 2018 Review

Hey guys! If any of you subscribe to Boxycharm I’m sure you know that nothing could compare to the perfection that was the June box! But, that being said, I was impressed and very pleased with this box! If you didn’t see my unboxing check it out here!

Crown Brush Fuego Eyeshadow Palette ($29.99): I’m all about the warm colors! I have a warm skin tone so I tend to shy away from cool tones altogether. I was excited to see this in the spoilers!

No shade names…

I was hoping for a little more variety in the palette once I saw it in person. Maybe a bright orange matte shade or a mustard yellow. Still, my #1 annoyance with this palette is that there are no shade names! It just bothers me, is that strange?

Here is the first look I created! I’m also wearing the mascara, blush and brow tint from this box!

I’ll be posting a full review of this palette with more looks next week! You know I love to go in depth with the palettes!

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara ($24): Okay, when I saw the spoiler that we were getting a mascara I was not thrilled. I have so much mascara! But, I absolutely love this mascara! It’s beautiful and natural! I even went so far as to wear two different mascaras to work and took a poll. It was a landslide in favor of the Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara. Wow, that’s a mouthful. The comment I got most was that this mascara looked more natural while the other mascara looked thicker and to quote one coworker “clumpier.” Yes, that was from a male.

I do love this mascara myself! If you remember, one of my major problems with mascaras is that they fall under my eyes throughout the day and I look like a raccoon. Yes, this mascara does have some fallout, but not nearly as bad as others I’ve tried. I’m impressed!

Is it worth $24? Well, Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara contains .32 ounces of product which is less than the Butter London Double Decker Mascara (.41 ounces) and more than Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (.27 ounces). It’s actually the same price as Too Faced Better Than Sex and it works better with my lashes (Better Than Sex gives me the raccoon eyes). So, is it worth $24? I would say yes!

Note Cosmetics Luminous Silk Compact Blusher, Desert Rose ($11.99): Wow, this is pigmented! Users beware! I dipped my brush in twice and woah did I have a pink cheek. I had to blend that baby out! Not that I’m complaining, just be aware that a little goes a long way.

I’m not gonna lie, I was not thrilled about this product either when I saw the spoilers. Like mascara, I have a lot of blush. In fact, I think I have more blush. But I really really like this blush! I’ve been using it every day and it, thankfully, does not break out my skin!

Would I purchase this blush? Absolutely! It has great pigment and it’s only $11.99!

Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream, Tantalizing Taupe ($26): I mentioned in my unboxing that I was worried taupe would be too light for my brows. I was wrong! The shade is perfect! I really like the design of this product as well! The brush is easy to use and it really does give your eyebrows the perfect tint!

Is it worth $26? Well, this product does contain .06 ounces as opposed to the IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil that contains .0056 ounces. I know, they’re different products. One is a cream and the other is a pencil, but I thought comparing the amount of product would be relevant. I’m going to see how long this product lasts, but so far I’d say that it is worth it!

Farmacy Beauty Bright On Mask ($38): I wasn’t sure what to think of this vitamin C clay mask at first. The product claims to improve skin’s brightness, texture and tone. The mask applies nicely and it’s quite fun because it changes color from purple to green as you activate the vitamin C.

The mask fells slightly tightening once applied, but it doesn’t feel like it’s drying out my skin like crazy. Once I washed it off, my face wasn’t left red or irritated like it has reacted with masks in the past. My skin looked… the same. I didn’t notice a drastic difference, but I’ve only used this product twice so I’ll need to continue trying it out.

My face didn’t look any brighter but it did feel, what’s the word, refreshed. My face did feel dry after I washed the mask off so (after I took these awful pictures) I lathered up the moisturizer. I felt like my skin absorbed my moisturizer better than normal. I felt extremely hydrated afterward!

Before and after. Can you see a difference?

One thing that I did notice after two wears was that my cystic acne had diminished significantly. I don’t know what’s going on with my skin/hormones, but the past few months during my period I get awful cystic acne on my right cheek (not the side pictured cause it isn’t pretty). I’m on my period now (TMI) so my skin isn’t in the greatest condition. But I’m surprised at how good my skin looked the morning after I applied the second mask! Let me know if you guys want updates on this product!

Would I purchase Farmacy Beauty Bright On Mask for $38? Perhaps. I need to use it more to see if it makes more of a difference.

This month’s box retailed at $129.98 and I got everything for only $21! In my opinion this box was definitely worth it!

What did you think of the box? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading!

♥ Ash
