Adventure Time! Vegas: Day 1

Hey guys! I’ve mentioned a few times that my little brother was in town and I was kind of vague about the activities I’ve been doing on my Weekly Workouts Recap. My brother has been to Vegas once before back in October of last year and he was dying to come back! I thought it would be fun to do a short series on our adventures! So, welcome to Day One of Adventure Time: Vegas!

The view from Skyfall Lounge at Delano.

I’ve lived in Vegas for five years now and I was a concierge for about four of those years so I know a thing or two about tourism in Sin City. We’re going to be doing Vegas on the cheap because, you know, I’m rockin a budget right now. If you’re interested in my recommendations I’d be more than happy to write up a post of some of the more pricey things to do and see in Vegas!

Lots of drinking, checking out woodland creatures made of chocolate and, of course, The Golden Knights!

How do you do Vegas on the cheap? There’s so much to do here and so many outdoorsy things that are inexpensive! I’d love to spend the entire week in nature, but I had to take my brother to the Strip. You just can’t go to Vegas without getting a yard long frozen drink and walking the Strip while judging drunk people! It’s just what you do!

The Park and T-Mobile Arena where the Golden Knights play!

As much as I complain it is fun to play tourist sometimes. So we hit up some happy hours and walked around! Usually what I do is park at one end, walk up the Strip and then walk back down the other side.

The Bellagio Conservatory decorated for spring!

All the hotels are different and cool to walk through but after being here for so long I’m totally jaded when it comes to casinos. Honestly, I never come to the Strip unless I’m working. But we had fun! We walked around, drank, ate great food and people watched all day!

When most people come to Vegas they want to hit up the day clubs and night clubs but, luckily for me, my brother is not that kind of person. He was perfectly happy walking around and checking out the sites!

What is your favorite thing to do in Vegas?

Thank you for reading and stay tuned for more adventures!

  1. My wife and I were actually thinking of relocating to Vegas. It might be a future destination for us. At least in that area. 🙂 Last time I was in Vegas, was to bowl at the nationals bowling tournament at South Point.

    1. That’s great! Vegas is getting very expensive though. I’ve loved it for the past five years but I’m starting to notice the difference. The Raiders are really changing everything! Prices are increasing and traffic is getting worse. If you’re thinking about it I would look into it before the Raiders get here! Also I would stay clear of Henderson when you look for houses! It’s become so overpopulated!
Also I love bowling at South Point! We get a group to go about once a month! I’m the worst bowler ever but it’s still fun! 😅
