Hey guys! A good liquid eyeliner is hard to find. I’m not just looking for just any liquid eyeliner. I’m talking an eyeliner with a fine point to make the perfect winged cat eye that lasts all day. And I mean all day. Not that my makeup needs to stay plastered to my face in an office like it did when I worked at the restaurant. But I do other activities! Well, sometimes…
I need an eyeliner that will survive a music festival or a day of hiking. I want to get off Splash Mountain with my eyeliner still on point. Not that I plan on going to an amusement park anytime soon, but still. Is that too much to ask?
My mom gave me the Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in a care package back in January (she’s so great) so I thought I’d try it out. I love Clinique skincare products so I was excited to try out Clinique makeup! I’ve been using this eyeliner for a while now so I’ve had time to develop a solid opinion.
This eyeliner is in a design that I love; pens are my favorite! The tip comes to a sharp point which is perfect for creating that winged cat eye! Plus I’ve been using this for a while and it hasn’t dried up on me (some pens dry up so fast!).
I do have one problem. It stays well enough on my lid but, where my wing starts, it bleeds down. I’ve also noticed that it bleeds into my eye when I apply it sometimes so I have to be extra careful.
You know, maybe I’m being too hard on this eyeliner. My allergies have been awful recently so my eyes have been extra watery. I’ve found a way to make this eyeliner not bleed by not connecting my wings to my lower lash line. I normally connect it but I think my watery eyes have caused this eyeliner to bleed.
Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen retails for $21. Is this eyeliner my favorite? No. Is it my least favorite? Absolutely not! I honestly think it’s worth the $21 because, aside from my watery eyes, it does last all day and the product itself lasts quite a long time. I didn’t purchase it this time (because my mom gave it to me) but I would purchase it in the future.
Have you tried this eyeliner before? Let me know what you think! And stay tuned for more eyeliner reviews!
