As you know, I eat lots of veggies on the ketogenic diet. My all time favorite veggies are brussel sprouts!
Brussel sprouts are so good for you! They’re in the cruciferous vegetable family and I try to eat at least a serving of these vegetables a day. Sometimes I go broccoli, but most of the time it’s brussel sprouts. I just love the texture!
Here’s how I make my brussel sprouts!
All you need is:
- Brussel sprouts
- Garlic (I used two large cloves)
I cut up the brussel sprouts (in halves or quarters) and the garlic before I turn on the stove so everything is ready to go!
Next I cut up the bacon into strips and cook it on low so all the grease comes out.
When the bacon starts to cook fairly well, add the garlic.
Add the brussel sprouts and let them cook in the grease. Don’t forget to sprinkle some salt in to taste (I add some pretty heavy pinches to mine).
I add pepper near the end and voila! Brussel sprouts and bacon!
