I love makeup subscriptions. It’s like Christmas once a month! I’m never surprised with what I get because I check the spoilers as soon as they’re released but it’s still so fun!
I’ve tried Ipsy, Birchbox and Boxycharm. I love Boxycharm so much that I canceled my subscriptions to the other ones. Boxycharm is $21 a month (the others are $10) but you get five full sized products.
Every month you get a description card of the items you received and the theme. This month’s theme is Galaxy Glow. Nothing in here particularly screams Galaxy Glow to me (except maybe the CoverFX shimmer veil) but thats okay!
I got some great items in this box but I’m most excited about the brushes!
These brushes are so pretty, I feel like they’re part of the unicorn trend. And they are so soft. Much softer than my other Crown brushes. What I love about Crown Pro is that the brushes are comfortable to hold and have indentions for your fingers.
I’m also loving the OFRA blush and the magnetic palette! This blush has a nice shimmer to it which just so happens to work perfect for Valentine’s Day. Also, the palette is so original! It’s magnetic so you can put all of your OFRA blushes inside (I have a few so I’m glad I have a place to keep them!). I really love it!
Now let’s talk about the other products.
I was curious about the Pur Lip Plumping Exfoliator. It has a nice scent and pleasant taste (is that weird?) but I’m not sure how different it will actually make my lips look.
The CoverFX Shimmer Veil is very pretty but a bit too baby pink for me. But I’ll play around with it and see what I can do!
I’m least excited for the Vintage Cosmetics smokey eye pencil. I love eyeliner. Love it! But, I love liquid eyeliner that will stay all day and not make me look like a panda after a few hours. Every single eyeliner pencil I’ve ever tried has been thrown into my “Nope” makeup box never to be seen again. Not that I won’t give this one a far shot, I’m just saying.
What did you guys think of the box? Let me know in the comments!
