My Holy Grail Under Eye Product

Hey guys!

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I live in Las Vegas. I live in the desert. And the desert is dry. Like, really dry. But winter in the desert is even worse.

My skin has not been reacting well. I moisturize morning, night and even in the middle of the day (if I’m home and not wearing makeup). Moisturizers and oils are my best friends.

However, this winter has been particularly harsh on my skin. I developed dry patches so bad under my eyes that it looked like I had a rash. It was awful! No makeup would stick to the dryness and I looked patchy no matter what I did.

I wish I had a picture to show you guys, but it was before I decided to start my blog. And honestly, during this time I refused to let anyone take my picture.

I tried so many products. Under eye creams, oils, you name it. Nothing was working. I gave up. But then I stumbled upon a product when I was going through a makeup bag my mom had made all of my bridesmaids: Clinique All About Eyes Serum. img_3617

I gave it a try because, well, why not? It felt so good and cooling under my eyes (it has one of those metal balls that always feels cold) so I continued to use it day and night. I didn’t actually expect it to do anything, I just liked the way it felt.

Much to my surprise, the dryness disappeared! I couldn’t believe it! I called my mom immediately and asked her to mail me more (she had received them as samples from work). I’ve been using it every day (when I wake up and at night before I put on oil). The dryness hasn’t come back! Can I get a hallelujah?

I checked out the Clinique website and this is what they have to say about it: “This instantly cooling rollerball helps massage away bags, refreshes and hydrates puffy eyes on contact. Brightens eye area immediately and over time. Combats dark circles, too.”

I honestly have noticed a slight difference in my under eye bags and dark circles but I don’t think it’s because of this product. I think the bags and dark circles are caused by caffeine and dehydration and a topical product isn’t going to fix them. I think that because of my new decaf coffee routine (check out my coffee post here) I’m noticing my skin looking clearer, and brighter.

Honestly, I just recommend this product for the fact that the rollerball is cooling and feels great on my skin (try putting it in the fridge to make it extra cooling!) and mostly because it truly hydrated my under eyes. No more dry patches/rash is a good thing!

Have you guys discovered a holy grail face product recently?

Be well!
