“Chocolate Fluff” from Keto Connect

My sweet tooth doesn’t really get out of control. Every now and then I’ll crave gelato or if I’m at my favorite French restaurant I absolutely must have the chocolate macaroon. But I don’t drive myself crazy about sweets. Even when it’s that time of the month (as any girl knows this is when the cravings are full force), I crave Doritos and queso dip or pizza. Rarely sweets. Give me something salty and I’m a happy girl!

My husband, however, loves sweets and craves them constantly. So he went in search of a keto friendly dessert. He follows a channel called Keto Connect on YouTube and he found a “chocolate fluff” recipe that he was dying to try out. The thing about my husband is that he loves trying new things, but he wants those things to be simple and to not make a mess. Convenience is key.

This recipe seemed super simple because Keto Connect featured it in their ‘Healthy Keto Snacks in 5 Minutes or Less!’ video. (Check it out here https://youtu.be/wyVAbyTN2aU.) Five minutes or less? My husband was hooked already.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 60ml heavy whipping cream
  • 22g whipped cream cheese
  • 5 drops stevia
  • 1 tsp 100% unsweetened cocoa powder

The only tool you’ll need is a hand mixer!

Start off by beating the heavy whipping cream in a bowl with the hand mixer until it starts to look like whipped cream (airy and fluffy). Next add the rest of the ingredients and continue beating with the hand mixer. My husband beat it until the entire mixture was light and airy (like whipped cream).

The verdict is……. delicious!

I’m surprised! It takes me back to my childhood when we mixed whipped cream and chocolate pudding together in elementary school. Of course it’s not the same, but that’s what it reminds me of. We also added Oreos (I’m a texture girl and I like having something crunchy even in my ice cream). Perhaps I could add some nuts next time to bring a crunch to it.

I’ve actually made this recipe a few times and I prefer doubling the cocoa powder for an extra chocolatey dessert. My husband prefers the original because he’s not really a fan of dark chocolate. I’ll definitely play around with this recipe a little bit more! So far it’s a win in my eyes and my husband is already obsessed.

Don’t forget to check out Keto Connect on YouTube! I’ll definitely be subscribing and trying out more of their recipes!

Stay healthy!
